An early Victorian Mourning ring in great condition.
The enamel design on the shoulders is near perfect and the seed pearls are also wonderful.
The plated hair in the centre is covered by an Essex crystal. In the photograph it looks like the hair has
become loose - this is not visible to the naked eye.
Mourning jewellery became very popular in the Victorian era after Prince Albert died and Queen Victoria
went into permanent mourning.
This is a very wearable piece of our British heritage.
